Burrard View Park
About
Burrard View Park is a multi-level neighborhood gem that slopes down toward the waterfront. The park is characterized by its rolling hills, mature trees, and a historic cottage that adds to the “hidden garden” atmosphere.
The dedicated dog off-leash area is a spacious, unfenced grassy section located on the east side of the park, near the intersection of North Penticton and North Slocan Streets. Because the dog area is tucked away from the main road and separated by natural elevation, it feels very secure for a non-fenced park. It’s a favorite for locals who appreciate the lush, well-kept grass and the fact that the park is rarely crowded, even on weekends.
💡 Barkcouver Tip
Keep an eye on the clock! Burrard View has seasonal hours. During the winter (Oct–April), dogs are allowed off-leash all day. However, in the summer months, off-leash play is restricted to mornings (6am–10am) and evenings (5pm–10pm).
Insider Move: If your dog has a “prey drive” for squirrels, be warned—this park is famous for them! The mature trees surrounding the off-leash field are a squirrel playground, so make sure your recall is sharp before you unclip the leash.
