Falaise Park
About
Falaise Park is a large, rolling green space located just off Grandview Highway. It is divided into two main parts (North and South) by Falaise Avenue. The park is well-known for its beautiful, “tiered” landscape and its incredible views of the North Shore mountains from the higher points.
The off-leash areas at Falaise are primarily unfenced and cover a significant portion of the park’s grassy hills. It’s an ideal spot for dogs who love “vertical” exercise—sprinting up and down the slopes is a great way to tire out even the highest-energy breeds. Because it’s so spacious, it rarely feels crowded, offering a peaceful, community-focused vibe that East Van locals love.
💡 Barkcouver Tip
Falaise Park has some of the most specific off-leash hours in the city, especially the area near the school. Generally, dogs are allowed off-leash from 5:00 am–10:00 am and 5:00 pm–10:00 pm. However, in the section right beside the school, off-leash play is restricted to 5:00 am–8:00 am to ensure safety for the students.
Insider Move: If it snows in Vancouver, this is the place to be. The hills that make for great dog exercise in the summer become the neighborhood’s favorite sledding runs in the winter. Just be prepared for a lot of “human” activity on the hills during a snow day!
