Hinge Park (Olympic Village Dog Park)
About
Hinge Park is a modern, eco-friendly urban oasis located in the heart of the Olympic Village (Southeast False Creek). Designed to feel like a “naturalized wetland,” the park features native plants, a rainwater marsh where you can often spot beavers, and a famous “rusty bridge” made from an old sewer pipe.
The dedicated dog off-leash area is located in the northwest corner of the park. It is a fully fenced, high-activity hub that perfectly serves the dense population of pups living in the nearby glass towers. While the space is compact and urban, it is one of the most popular social spots in the city, known for its friendly “neighborhood pack” and its unbeatable location right off the Seawall.
💡 Barkcouver Tip
If the fenced area feels a bit crowded, take a leashed walk over to Habitat Island (the “man-made island” connected to the park). It’s a great place for some mental stimulation and sniffing.
