About
Kingcrest Park is a bustling, multi-use green space located right off Kingsway. Despite being near a major transit corridor, the park feels like a secluded oasis once you step inside. It’s known for its beautiful, mature trees and a unique, tiered layout that separates the different activity zones.
The off-leash area is a large, unfenced grassy field located on the east side of the park (closer to Knight Street). It’s a very popular spot for high-energy social play; if your dog loves to wrestle and run in a pack, they’ll find plenty of playmates here. Because the park is a major neighborhood gathering spot, the vibe is incredibly friendly, and you’ll often see the same group of local owners chatting while their pups burn off steam.
💡 Barkcouver Tip
Watch the clock! Kingcrest follows the standard Split Hours for off-leash use: 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. During the day (10 am–5 pm), the fields are often used for local sports and community events, so keep that leash handy!
Insider Move: Parking can be a bit tricky right on Kingsway, so try looking for a spot on the smaller residential side streets like East 26th Avenue. It’s a much calmer entry point for your pup than the busy main road.
